The interns in the HKLSS Summer Internship Program have exceeded our expectations with their outstanding performance. They contributed to market research, leveraging their strong foundational knowledge, and proactively shared valuable recommendations to enhance our growth strategies.

Summer interns had the opportunity to attend meetings, contribute their ideas, present their findings and make connections with colleagues in our scientific research, clinical development, commercial planning and business development units.

The internship has solidified my interest in exploring the field of biotech investments. It has equipped me with a valuable skillset and a broadened understanding of the industry, laying a strong foundation for my future career aspirations.

The long weekend in Shanghai provided me with a better insight into the pharmaceutical field in Shanghai and China as a whole, while the weekend programs in Hong Kong enlightened me about future opportunities and potential career paths as a local graduate in life sciences. Moreover, I had a glimpse into the diverse job nature within different departments of a biotech start-up.

As someone interested in public health policy, I was truly fascinated by our team’s problem-oriented approach towards primary healthcare research. Our team was dedicated to evaluating various stakeholders’ views, formulating evidence-based measures, and addressing the pressing needs of our society.

This internship developed my business acumen and got me interested in commercial roles within the life sciences sector.

This internship has confirmed my interest in working in a dynamic business environment while still being able to contribute with my degree knowledge. I look forward to taking what I have learnt to pursue a career where science meets business!

During my summer internship in Antengene, I was able to learn from my supervisors in Business Development on how to conduct marketing research, strategic analysis, and also explore the collaboration opportunities with other business partners.
